TEAM MISSION
Unlike consigned development, The development of packaged software needs the developer imagine the needs of users and plan the product by themselves. Because of the hard work, the developer don’t have enought time to do interview with users. They develop software almost by imagination. When the software complete and users begin to use it , they find the sofeware is hard to use. In order to solve this problem we formed a new team called User-Centered Design team. It may be the first Usability Testing team for ERP industry in Japan.
PROBLEMS
① Because Our team was newly formed, there are many shortcomings in Labo environment of Usability Testing.
② The method of Usability Testing is monotonous, We only use Think Aloud and recording video.
③ Expenses of using AWS are too expensive.
④ The output has only facts of we found in Usability Testing.
⑤ Because the data in the research environment is dummy data made by ourself, reality is not enough.
SOLUTIONS
① Strengthen Labo environment by creating of Labo's sign plate, purchase of TV rack for exhibition, wiring management and so on.
② We worked with the AI team and the UI Component team and tried to introduce the A/B Testing into the ERP software. Introduced EyeTracking.
③ Worked with the team in charge of OpenStack to promote the transition project from AWS to OpenStack.
④ Create Usability Testing report format and make it be used. Analyze the results of Usability Testing. ⑤ Promote Usability Testing using the client's production environment.
