PROBLEMS

① The market of the motorcycle industry is shrinking, and the Goobike business also has a declining share ratio.

② The usage rate of GooBike is low compared to our other applications. We want users use app for it’s high CVR.

③ The application itself was made five years ago, the application is heavy, the resolution is low for new phone.

④ We do not have much budget.

⑤ Information Architecture is same with smartphone site, Can not demonstrate the features of native applications.

⑥ We want this App can not only solve problems, but also be emotional and easy to use.  

SOLUTIONS

In order to solve above problems, We decided to renew the application UI. Make it more easy to use, has a resolution that matches new terminals, and adds new functions such as push function, renewed by design led. We renewed using the following three methods

① We Introduce the process of human-centered design. ・Firstly, we will identify the problems of existing applications and summarize the improvement points.

・Analyze usage rates of different applications of our company and set goals that can be expected.

・Create a customer journey map, make AISAS model, and reconfirm what the application will be for users.

・Reference hundreds of sample applications, conduct user surveys and decide general functions.

・Make a prototype version.

・Based on motorbike industry data and GA analysis data of web site, we created four kinds of user models. and simulate the designed objects with 17 different patterns.

②Create Strategy of UI / UX

・Compress photos as top priority information.

・Eliminate headers and footers. Maximize the screen area of ​​the bike information. If users get used to it, users should not be able to return to small screen applications.

・By using mass animation effect, it becomes crisp and more interactive.

・Illustration and icons are used a lot, making it more emotional.
